Today I will tell you all about Ylenia and Paolo’s wedding which took place on Wednesday the 1st of July in the stunning Basilica dei Fieschi, in Cogorno.
Being at the same time a photographer and a guest made me feel even more involved than usual. In spite of the hot weather the day could not have been more perfect.
The bride was visibly emotional nervous during the getting ready part but she calmed down immediately when, followed by her father, she reached the altar and met her future husband’s eyes: peaceful, happy and full of love for her.
I personally know Paolo very well and I can say that he was truly relaxed.
No stress or anxiety: just the intention to fully live the day ahead which was inevitably bound to remain unforgotten!
To be able to make the look of their loving eyes everlasting, the happy moments of this couple and their loved ones… I cannot get tired of it: surely this is the most rewarding aspect of my job, the reason why, even after many hours of shooting , I cannot stop to look for the next unforgettable moments.
I could use lots of adjectives to describe this wedding: emotional, elegant, involving, funny, romantic... A dream come true, every details has been taken care of and nothing has been left unchecked.
One of the most elegant and stunning location of the Eastern Ligurian Riviera, the Grand Hotel dei Castelli based in Sestri Levante, with an amazing view of the Sestri bay and an unforgettable sunset which I have been able to admire during a boat trip with the newly weds between the Silence Bay and the Sestri Levante harbour.
What a luck and what an opportunity I had to shoot in this astonishing place: the best time, the best light, a very calm sea ( perfect for a boat trip) not easy to find around here, a bottle of cold Champagne and two glasses to toast to this new life they have ahead of them sailing towards the sunset.
As I said this wedding has had plenty special moments thanks, in particular, to the couple’s friends that have prepared some sweet surprises for them such as a letter read during the ceremony and some videos shown during the reception.
A fantastic day in the end… A few more details… The chosen color: BLUE, the wedding theme: the sea obviously! And the wedding keepsake? Different type of salt coming from all over the world!!!
